What you will learn: 

OHN Prep is designed to prepare occupational health nurses planning to take the American Board for Occupational Health Nursing Certification (ABOHN) examination: COHN or COHN-S.  This course was created by experts in occupational health nursing who have extensive experience in teaching graduate students and professionals. The OHN Prep course is self-paced and entirely online. We have partnered with DataChem to provide discounted rates for their COHN-S prep V4.2 or COHN prep V4.0 packages. These optional test practice packages include over 1,000 questions and problems with answers and detailed explanations. Visit the DataChem Occupational Nursing web page to learn more about the two available packages. We offer 6 or 12 month license options - Access is available via online, download or CD.

This package contains 18 modules that cover topics outlined in the ABOHN Candidate Handbooks for COHN and COHN-S. Each module has been approved for the following contact hours.

  • Exam Prep* (45 min)

  • Infectious Disease Epidemiology & Control (1.25 hours)
  • Injury Prevention & Ergonomics (1 hour)

  • Legal & Ethical Issues (0.75 hours)
  • Legal and Regulatory Considerations (0.5 hours)
  • Occupational Health Programs (0.75 hours)
  • Occupational History & Physical Assessment (0.5 hours)
  • Recordkeeping - (1 hour)
  • Respiratory Protection (1.25 hours)
  • Role of the OEHN* (37 min)
  • Toxicology (1 hour)

*These courses don't apply for CNE credits.
