What you will learn: 

The profession of occupational health nursing began when nurses were hired by industrial and insurance companies in England and the Unites States to provide direct care to workers and their families. Our specialty has become more complex over the last 150 years, adding many more responsibilities, but direct care is still a significant part of the job detail. This module will review common diseases and occupational injuries by body system: Eyes; Ears, Nose & Throat; Cardiac; Musculoskeletal; Skin: and Neurological. We will also discuss treatment and prevention strategies. This course is also part of the OHN Prep Course Package.
