What will you learn:

Infectious diseases may be one of many health outcomes that occupational health nurses deal with at their practice. Understanding the epidemiology of infectious diseases will give occupational health nurses a better understanding on how they can control potential workplace exposures. In this module, you will gain a better understanding of infectious diseases and how to use infectious disease epidemiology principles to help reduce transmission in the workplace. Concepts of this course include basic transmission pathways, prevention and control methods, and the role of Occupational Health Nurses in these situations. This course is also part of the OHN Prep Course Package.
