What will you learn:

No occupation is the same between patients, therefore their history and set of risks and symptoms are unique as well. Understanding the background of a patient is essential for tailoring an assessment for each patient. This module is designed to guide occupational health professionals through the process of conducting comprehensive health assessments. It focuses on evaluating patient history, physical examination techniques, and identifying key risk factors for conditions like cardiovascular disease. Additionally, the presentation covers diagnostic strategies, the assessment of symptoms, and emergency protocols like CPR and AED usage. This course is also part of the OHN Prep Course Package.

  • Identify one of the most influential predictor of the diagnosis.
  • Identify the four techniques of assessment.
  • Identify non-modifiable risk factors for heart disease.
